About this organization

Alleghany Highlands YMCA has served the Alleghany Highlands community since 1993, providing youth and families with programs focused on healthy living, youth development, and community connection. What began in the Boys Home facility grew into a full YMCA center in 2007, featuring wellness spaces, aquatics, gym facilities, and expanded programming to meet the region’s needs. Today, the organization supports the community through youth sports, swim lessons and swim team programs, after-school care, summer camps, early learning and childcare services, fitness programming, and family-focused activities. Rooted in a mission of service and inclusion, the Alleghany Highlands YMCA continues to strengthen the community by creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn, grow, stay active, and thrive together.
