We believe nonprofit organizations serving local communities should not have to compete for visibility based on marketing budgets. They all deserve the opportunity to be discovered, supported, and connected to the families they serve.

What starts as visibility through the map is intended to grow into something much bigger: a community-driven ecosystem where families can discover opportunities, youth sports organizations can build support, and communities can celebrate local identity — helping youth sports become more connected, sustainable, and accessible for everyone involved.

PlaygroundStars began with the belief that communities should have better ways to financially support local youth sports organizations.
As we started building, we realized something important: before organizations can receive support, they first need visibility and connection within their communities.
That’s why we chose to begin with the map — while continuing to build toward a future we’re incredibly excited about: community-powered crowdfunding tools designed specifically for youth sports organizations and the communities behind them.
Stronger Local Sports Communities
PlaygroundStars is being built from the ground up with the local community experience in mind first — because we believe that’s where the youth sports experience matters most.
Before national rankings, large tournaments, and travel schedules, youth sports begins locally: at the neighborhood field, the local gym, the community center, and the playground. Those are the experiences that deserve visibility, support, funding, and fun.
Our goal is to help communities strengthen their local youth sports experiences by giving them the visibility, support, and tools they need to Protect Their Playground.
