Bio

Pascal Dobert is one of the most accomplished distance runners ever to emerge from Washington, D.C. Specializing in the demanding 3,000-meter steeplechase, Dobert built a career defined by endurance, discipline, and consistency at the highest levels of international competition. After developing his talent as a young runner, he attended the University of Wisconsin, where he became one of the nation's top collegiate athletes. In 1997, he captured the NCAA Championship in the steeplechase, establishing himself as one of the premier distance runners in the country and demonstrating the dedication required to excel in one of track and field's most challenging events.nnDobert's success continued on the national and international stage. He won three consecutive U.S. championships from 1998 through 2000, represented the United States at the 1999 World Championships, and earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team for the 2000 Sydney Games. His personal-best time of 8:15.77 ranked among the fastest American steeplechase performances of his era. After retiring from competition, Dobert remained committed to the sport by helping develop future generations of elite runners as a coach with the renowned Bowerman Track Club. From Washington, D.C. to the Olympic Games and beyond, his journey reflects the perseverance, dedication, and lifelong passion for excellence that youth sports can inspire.
