About this organization
Skate Girls Tribe empowers girls of all ages and abilities through skateboarding, longboarding, and other action sports in a fun and supportive community environment. Founded in Washington, D.C., the organization brings participants together through monthly events, camps, and group experiences that celebrate creativity, culture, and connection. In addition to skating, Skate Girls Tribe offers opportunities to explore surfing and snowboarding, helping girls build confidence, individuality, strength, and resilience. Through play, mentorship, and shared experiences, the program encourages young women to stay active, express themselves, and develop skills that support positive choices both on and off the board.
